Completed// Description
52hz is an installation-experience with Priscila Favre and Julian Meneses. Its name refers to the frequency of the loneliest whale.
How do we define ourselves in the absence of a similar otherness? How do we act from instinct? What moves us from within? These are the questions 52 Hz investigates through Body, Sound and Image.
We are constituted from the references of our peers: their actions and ways offer us a limited number of possibilities of perception and execution. What happens when there are no peers to show us that? 52 Hz explores what appears in the missed encounter, in loneliness, in the lack of a peer, to present not an answer but a constant search in real time.
In its formulation as an audiovisual stage work, 52 Hz is conceived as an interdisciplinary piece [dance-audiovisual], with the lighting treated as an installation that houses the body: a map of routes and paths already traced and yet to be traced, without a destination.

All the waves go at another speed. Only one sings at 52 Hz. You can listen to it (lower the volume: it is a low tone).
